Export the fields of a PDF form (AcroForm) to JSON format, locally in your browser.

Import a PDF

No upload: everything happens locally.

The extraction is done on the browser side and mainly works for AcroForm forms.

The PDF remains local: no upload, no server storage.
The JSON includes the extracted fields and an Extra object (best-effort).
Some administrative PDFs use XFA: in this case, fields may be invisible on the browser side.

If Page = -1, it means that the metadata linking the field to a page is not available (or not usable) on the browser side.

Form MappingGet the list of fields (internal name, type, options) before developing an auto-fill.

A JSON of fields: name (T), type (Tx/Btn/Ch…), value (V), state, options, flags (required/readonly), etc.

Widget information: page, rectangle, appearance, and hierarchy (parents/children) if available.

XFA (dynamic) forms may not be supported depending on the engine: the tool mainly targets AcroForm.
Values can be stored without appearance: some viewers "reconstruct" the display upon opening.
For encrypted documents, access to fields may be restricted without a password.

Does the tool fill out the form?

No, it extracts the structure and existing values. To flatten, use "Flatten Forms."

Why does a field have a value but does not appear?

The widget may be off-page, hidden, or the appearance may be missing. The export helps diagnose.

Are checkboxes supported?

Yes: they usually appear as button fields (Btn) with an on/off state.

Before automating filling, export the JSON once and build a stable mapping: you will avoid errors due to changing field names.
